Audio Recordings

Over time, the society has had numerous speakers who have addressed the membership with stimulating presentations on topics of deep local interest.

Over time also, the society has recorded interviews with local people who have shared their memories.

Here is a selection of full length recordings. This area is in development, with some work required to edit them into a more polished presentation.

We now have approximately 100 audio recordings stored at the WLHS archive. These include society talks from the 1980s and 1990s, BBC radio features and a wide range of oral history interviews conducted by the society .
