Speaker: Laurence Waters
Subject: Chipping Norton Branch Line
The Chipping Norton Branch was opened to freight in early 1855 and later in the year to passengers. It joined the Oxford Worcester and Wolverhampton railway at a junction at Kingham. In 1882 the station was moved and eventually closed in 1962.
Our speaker Laurence Waters is a retired Photography Teacher with an interest in local railway history particularly in Oxfordshire, He has written a number of books on the subject and is the Honorary Photo Archivist for the Great Western Trust at Didcot Railway Centre

About our Talks
The Society in normal times meets once per month from September to May each year. Generally, all meetings are held in Milton-under-Wychwood Village Hall.
Meetings are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month from 7:30pm – 9:00pm.
Members – FREE Guests – £3 per person
Anyone with an interest in local history is very welcome to join us.
