The Cospatrick story has been referenced several times over the years by “The Wychwood” magazine, and here we show three such articles.
The first – “The Floating Candle” – is by former Wychwoods History Society stalwart John Rawlins, which refers to a play written by Mr Tony Hull of Carterton, which it was hoped would be produced in Shipton.
The second – “Kia Ora” to the Cospatrick is by Carolyn Deverson, a visitor from New Zealand, keen to engage with the story and the name.
The third – “Now There IS a Model of the Cospatrick” was written by Arthur Ashton, late of the Wychwoods, who writes about the creation of his model of the Cospatrick which spent time in the Crown in Shipton, before being housed at the Wychwoods Local History Society archive , awaiting a permanent home.
